Join up-and-coming chef Joshua Gregory for a special six-course meal at a secret location in Fitzroy on June 13.
A former sous chef at EXP in NSW’s Hunter Valley, Gregory is soon to open his own restaurant, Hunter Dining, in regional New South Wales.
To celebrate, he’s giving Melbourne diners the opportunity to taste his cooking with the help of Private Dining Room, which organises underground dining adventures around Melbourne.
The location will be revealed on the day, but previous Private Dining Roomdinners have been held in a restored 1800s mansion in St Kilda, a converted Fitzroy church and a photography studio.
Gregory’s bespoke menu will include The Biscuit Tin – a biscuit tin filled with savoury oat cookies, topped with spanner crab mayonnaise and dusted in dill powder. It will be served with a plate of pikelets with a jar of honey and a bowl of taramasalata and trout roe.
Private Dining Room’s founder, professional Sommelier Tim O’Donnell, will curate the wine list for the evening.
